Down the Toilet!!
"Down the toilet?" I hear you ask. My make-up. Yep, down the toilet.
Last weekend I decided to head to Dublin with my good friend Aoife, for a few drinks and a catch up. We headed up on the bus on Saturday morning, and after a feast of Leo Burdock's Fish and Chips, copious amounts of tea, and 2 packs of biscuits, we then decided to get our drink on.
After, one or two...or five, it was time to start getting ready and doing our make-up etc. We did our make up in the bathroom as it has the biggest mirror in the house.
Not thinking twice about it, I left my make up bag on top of the sistern on the toilet, only to arrive home to an array of bottles, brushes, and of course my mac powder, staring up at me from the bottom of the bowl. Luckily, when I found them, at around half 4 in the morning, I was able to see the funny side! Not laughing anymore though.
Aside from that, we had a pretty good night. It was also nice to spend my first night in my new house.

This week, while on Instagram, I came across this new weight-loss tea, Bootea. Apart from the cleaver name, it looks great!
What (they claim) you can expect:
"I'll perform a much needed, intensive cleanse and detox of your digestive system to assist with weight loss, bloating, fluid retention and toxin removal. I'll leave you feeling energised and motivated to achieve your goals."
There's two kinds of teas, one you take every morning, and the other to be taken every second night. They also provide a healthy eating plan to help maxamise your results.
I ordered mine today for just €20.00, from Bootea.com, including postage, and am SO excited to start.
Also, due to unforeseen circumstances, I am unable to go to Electric Picnic this weekend, however Maeve and I have decided to make the most of the weekend, so God only knows where we'll end up!
I'll keep you posted :)

Ocean Salt Facial Scrub, by LUSH
Having always passed by LUSH on Henry St, and always remarking the fab smell you get when you pass, I decided I'd take a trip in.
I was mesmorised by all the different kinds of bath bombs, facial scrubs, foot scrubs, moisturisers, hand creams...everything any anything you can think of for pretty much every part of your body.
While it is a little pricy, I decided I'd treat myself to this Ocean Salt Facial Scrub, with "lashings of fine sea salt to scrub and clean, organic limes to brighten, and avacado butter to soften your skin".
For €9.95, I am more than impressed with the results.
It left my face feeling fresh, and oh so soft. I then used Simple cleanser and moisturiser, before ruining my skin all over again with make up!

Sh***y Week
Was this a shit week, or is it just me? I thought after last week's misfortune, that this week, I was bound to get some good karma. Nope. I can't even pinpoint what went so wrong, I was all up in a heap!
However, in order to survive it, I just seemed to eat my way through each day. I haven't been particularly hungry, I just felt it was necessary to eat everything within a 10 mile radius.
Well that stops now! Tomorrow I'm back to healthy eating. Swear.
Although the week wasn't all bad. I did mention in my last post that I was at the launch of the Terryglass Arts Festival, which ran from last Wednesday to Sunday. The festival was a massive success, especially the Sunday, which drew a massive crowd to the village for street entertainment, music, puppet shows etc.
While last Friday, I signed the lease to my new home in Rathmines. And although I couldn't be happier with the place, I never realised how frustrating all the nitty gritty bits are. Such things as changing gas and electricity into your name. Honestly, had you ever heard of a GPRN, or MPRN number? I hadn't anyway, and when asked for it, my answer was "ehh WTF?" Apologies for my warped sense of humor Bord Gais!
Also, I apologise for telling your automated voice machine to "go f**k herself".
However the week was made slightly better by this picture, sent to me by my bestie, dressed as a giraffe!
Don't forget guys, only a few more days of my competition left on facebook. To be in with a chance, like and share the following link:

Launch of the 15th Annual Terryglass Arts Festival
Wednesday night, I attended the launch of the 15th Annual Terryglass Arts Festival. For those of you who don't know, Terryglass is the village where I grew up, and for as far back as I can remember, the festival has always been a massive part of my summer.
My mum is the chairperson of the committee, and I couldn't be more proud of her, as this year promises to be even bigger and better than any previous year.
The launch was held on Wednesday, in a fabulous marquee. Mum made the opening speech, followed by a few more speeches, then was a viewing of the world renound, award-winning short film Irish Folk Furniture, by Tony Donoghue.
However the highlight of the night was the two performances by two local talents Ríona O'Madagain, and Conor O'Meara.
Ríona, whose voice has a beautiful soulful raspy-ness, sang two of her own songs, among other well-known favourites, opened the show, leaving Conor to follow. With the bar set very high, Conor certainly didn't disappoint. Singing a range of classical, modern and the odd folk song thrown in for good measure.
Often we tend to over-look talent which is right under our noses. Well not anymore, as the pair collaborated at the very end, with a rendition of Falling Slowly, from the hit musical, Once.
The hairs literally stood at the back of my neck.
Here is what I wore, and also my outfit of the week:

What an eventful week!
Apologies that I didn't post during the week, but I've been mental busy, as last Saturday, I decided it was time to get a wriggle on, and look for a place to live this year in college.
Without any guidance, appointments, newspapers, estate agents (basically all the essentials you need when looking for a house), Maeve and I set off. Needless to say, it was a disaster.
Got the bus home Sunday evening; defeated. However when I got home, I realised that my mum was going back to Dublin on Monday. So at 6.00AM, I was Dublin bound once more. After calling to every estate agents we could find, trawling through The Herald, walking the length and breath of Rathmines, Ranelagh, and Portobello, arranging 6 viewings and 3 falling through, I sulked all the way to the bus stop, only to have the last bus home drive straight past me.
It's fair to say, the lowest point of the day, was getting off the DART in Bray, to stay the night in a friends house, only to find a girl, trousers down, arse against the wall, pee-ing. Yep, after all that, I topped off the day by dodging a spray of wiz!
Needless to say, I was elated to get a call from one of the landlords yesterday, whose house we viewed, to say that he'd be delighted for us to live there. You are now reading the words of the proud tenant of a house on Leinster Road, Rathmines, Dublin 6.
I didn't manage to take any pictures, but I will be doing a 'before' and 'after' post, when I decorate my new room.
This week I was even to busy to check out what was going on in the ShowBiz world, I do have a funny story of my own!
While on the bus to Dublin on Saturday, happy as larry with my overnight bag, excited for the day of house-hunting ahead, I began to feel a bit chilly!
"Not to worry", I thought, and pulled out my zippy from my bag, only to catapult my knickers into the middle of the isle on the bus!! Slick Rick myself, then decided in order to distract onlookers, I'd fire my hoodie down onto them, so I could pick up the bundle together.
I have to say, I think the most embarassing part, was my hysterical laughing.
My pick of the week this week, has to be the new Limited Edition Smokey Eye Pallet from Urban Decay. I bought this on Saturday to cheer myself up a bit, for €40. I'm so excited to start using it.
My outfit of the week will follow in a later post.
You can expect to see more blog activity this week, promise!

Another Week Down
Did this week fly, or is it just me? Where does the time go ay? Not that it's been a particularly exciting week, it's just hard to believe we're over the last bank holiday weekend of the summer *sigh*.
But we won't dwell! This week hasn't been the most celebrity gossip filled week either. Apart from the rumours circulating about Simon Cowell to become a baby-daddy to New York socialite, and former friend's estranged wife, Lauren Silverman, turning out to be true! The 53 year old, music mogul was keeping his cards very close to his (hairy) chest, until now!
In a PR bid to rescue his career, Simon has enlisted the help of his close friend Piers Morgan, to conduct a two part interview in which he'll basically spill the beans. Both interviews are to take place as soon as the divorce between Lauren Silverman, and ex partner, Andrew Silverman is finalised.
What did I get up to this week? I made the most of my bank holiday weekend, with a trip to Dublin to see a friend. Nothing too major, just a few drinks and dinner.
Here's what I wore:
But my biggest achievement of the week, was setting up my blog's Facebook page. I really, really enjoy writing it and looking for cute outfits/photos to post.
I do take a lot of inspiration from blogs such as Love Lauren and So Sue Me, so if you do see any similar pictures, it's not that I'm trying to copy their style and I try put a bit of myself into everything I post.
Keep an eye out for my first competition this week. It'll be a good 'un!

Jennifer Aniston glowing with no make up on
So jealous of the fabulous Jen Aniston, 44, looking flawless with no make up on, posing in a selfie, with BFF and hair stylist, Chris McMillan.

The recently engaged, Friends star, quashed rumors that she's pregnant live on Chelsea Lately, after this picture of her emerged of her at her latest film premier.
Aniston later confirmed she already feels married to her fiancée, nudist and actor, Justin Theroux.
“We just want to do it when it’s perfect, and we are not rushed, and no one is rushing from a job or rushing to a job.
“And, you know, we already feel married. We have yet to set any dates. There have been no canceled weddings. There have been no postponed weddings.”
Aniston concluded, “There have been no arguments about where to get married. Just clearing all that up.”
I for one, couldn't be happier for the blonde bombshell. She deserves it.

Pick of the Week
As I'm sure you've noticed by now, I've a slight obsession with anything coconut! Moroccan oil, my coconut shampoo from Holland and Barret, pinacoladas; anything!
So it comes as no surprise that this week, my pick of the week is this fabulous coconut bath and shower gel, by treacle moon.
So it comes as no surprise that this week, my pick of the week is this fabulous coconut bath and shower gel, by treacle moon.
It's so luxurious, and smells so rich. I also love anything with quirky packaging. On the bottle reads:
"I'm going to a faraway place she said...just for a while...her toes wriggled in the warm sand and a silly seagull laughed and danced in the sweet wind"
Available in Tesco for a little under €4, it definitely merits: ★★★★★

Style Crush of the Month - Kate Moss
This month, my style crush had to be, the on and only Kate Moss. Why? Because this week, Kate Moss has appeared on the cover of a men's magazine for the first time since 1996!
The British beauty has graced the cover of this week's edition of Esquire magazine, wearing a full body, tastefully jeweled leotard, with a fabulously tailored, cream blazer over it.
Esquire's editor, Alex Blimes says "Kate Moss is my generation's embodiment of homegrown sex, glamour, hedonism, and insouciant cool.
"I really can't imagine anyone more suited to the job", Blimes continues.
And it seems as though this isn't the last raunchy shoot for a men's magazine that we'll be seeing from the almost 40-year-old model, as she is set to appear in the 60th anniversary edition of Playboy next January.
While her style has traditionally been "boho chic", the model has proved she can look just as classy as the rest.
