Cinema Night :)

I think it was the Sunday before last when I went to the cinema, but my battery in my camera was dead and I couldn't upload the pictures until now.

What to wear to the cinema has always been a worry of mine? If it's a date, do you wear heels? Is it casual or dressy? And do I spend hours on my make up, even though no one will be able to see me as soon as the movie starts?! So many loop holes to consider.

So after careful consideration, I think I've managed to crack what to wear to the cinema...

And here it is; my ideal outfit anyway!

Black blazer: Topshop
Green Vest Top: Topshop
Shiny Disco Pants: Pennys
Army Green Boots: River Island
Ring & Necklace: Borrowed

And although I did spend quite a while on my make up I decided that i'd keep it pretty simple. I'm a lover of the "flicks" at the mo and think I've done a pretty ok job here. I also fill in my eyebrows using a dark brown eyeshadow such as Smog, in the Naked Pallet.

For my foundation I use MAC studio fix foundation no.25 and the MAC mineralise powder in medium.

Have you any outfit ideas?

Lyrath Estate, Kilkenny

Thanks to my wonderful Daddy, myself and my mam headed off on Tuesday to Lyrath Estate Hotel and Spa in Co.Kilkenny. I cannot stress enough how beautiful it is!

We arrived around 6.30 (after getting a little lost on the way), where we were greeted by the friendliest staff, and a room that literally becomes home the second you put the key in the door.

We showered and got ready for dinner in their signature Oriental restaurant Yindees. After a feast of chicken satay and duck in hoi-sin with egg noodles, we headed to the bar for a night-cap.

The next morning we got up early and had breakfast in the hotel (could've been better, if you ask me. However, it is the only thing I can fault) before heading into Kilkenny City itself. As a city I had never been to before, I was well impressed. From Kilkenny Castle to the quirky coffee shops, to the award winning restaurants and the lively nightlife!

It's fair to say; I'm hooked! We booked into this little Italian restaurant Rinuccini , where I had paté to start and a bowl of homemade egg pasta with smoked chicken in a cream and basil sauce.

But the main event was today's spa treatments! I had never been to a spa before so didn't quite know what to expect. Our treatments were booked for half 11, so at 10 we went down to avail of their hydro therapy suite

A steam room, a sauna, a waterfall shower, and (above) a 37 degree pool with an open end wall looking out over the entire gardens.

I opted for a full body Sweedish massage, then a mini facial. It was amazing, seriously amazing! I couldn't recommend it highly enough. They have great mid-week offers well worth taking a look at.

Anyone else been to any nice spas around the country? I'm already on the hunt for my next spa break.

Gimme, Gimme, Gimme!

Its January, I've no money, I need a job and theres so much I want! With Valentine's Day looming, I am on the hunt for a red dress (see resolution no.15) However, that's not all I've set my sights on!

Hopefully this summer I'll be heading to Crete for 2 weeks...

...jelly?

But there's also a trip to Edinborough with my year in college on the horizon, not to mention these beauties:

*sigh* A job is definately in order when I get back to college! What's on your January wish list? :)

It's not a man bag, it's a satchel

I had decided that my next post was going to be my January Wish-list post. Until I realised all I really kept looking at were handbags! I've had a mulberry bag on the brain for quite a while now, but managed to find some really nice alternatives for a fraction of the price.

I'm really loving the satchel at the moment, and while I do have my lovely topshop satchel found here ,I can't help but want to two-time it with these lovelies...

3 Girls, 2 Tubs and a Tin

Ok so this is a bit of a strange post, but last night when I was supposed to be studying for my politics exam, which was today, myself and my friend Marie decided it was far more important to learn the cup song. Now for those of you who don't know the cup song, I recommend that you go and educate yourselves via the youtube machine! :)

Its by Lulu and the Lampshades and has been most recently been made famous by the movie Pitch Perfect.

So here is mine, Marie, and we recruited Jess (because we can't sing) to do the vocals. While we we're filming we realised just how funny we are, and made it more about the bloopers!

Enjoy...

T'was the season ☃

It's only really now I'm appreciating my Christmas gifts, as Christmas day itself was a bit of a whirlwind of emotion (to say the least). I decided this year not to go for a new phone as I'm quite content with my little BlackBerry Bold. Until of course Christmas Eve, when he decided to hang up his...well hang-up button I suppose, for the last time ☹ . Too late for Santa to change his plans, I'm still more than excited with what I received instead!

And here they are;

Marc Jacobs laptop bag, Soap and Glory, Ross O'Carroll Kelly keyring (i'm a bit of a feather head, that was more of a gift to my housemates if I'm honest!), Nails from Claires, The Princess Bride, Cath Kitson overnight bag, Brown Thomas Voucher, Diary and Gel Pens (re-living my childhood right there), a spa weekend for 2 with my darling mother, MAC eyeshadow, and yes that is a purse shaped like a pair of knickers, curtsy of my auntie!

All in all, an excellent christmas! Would love to now what weird and wonderful things you got? And to all, have a happy new year!
