Review of Iron Man 3

Seeing as it's still new enough in the cinema, I thought I'd do a review of the new Iron Man. I went sometime last week, and is honestly one of the best movies I've seen in ages.

Robert Downey, Jr. is back as everyone’s fast becoming, favourite superhero, Iron Man, in the sequel Iron Man 3.

Director Shane Black comes together with Marvel Studios to produce this summer’s blockbuster. Not only a sequel to Iron Man 2, it also follows the box office hit, The Avengers.

In the wake of the alien invasion of New York, Tony Stark (Iron Man) is suffering from insomnia and panic attacks. However, as the American broadcasting airways are hi-jacked by terrorist ‘The Manderin’, played by Ben Kingsley, threatening to kill The President of the United States, Stark is forced to step into the suit once more.

The film certainly doesn’t fall short of humour, with Tony Stark’s quick whips, sarcasm and undeniable charm, Downey, Jr. is utterly at home in the role. Contrast this with Ben Kingsley’s fantastic one-liners, adding some light relief to an intense turbulence of events, keeping the audience chomping at the bit.

No action movie would be complete without a damsel in distress, while Gwenyth Paltro is simply loveable as Iron Man’s other half, Pepper Pots.

If you’re going to see this movie in cinemas, definitely opt for 3D. The graffics are impeccable, and would be an insult to the creators not to experience 100 tonnes of metal flying before your eyes.

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and although it is unclear what the future holds for Iron Man, it seems as though this could possibly be his last solo debut.

Check out what I wore here!
