Shisha (She-Sha)

Walking home from college everyday I pass this Lebanese restaurant in Portobello. Every time I pass, I see people outside smoking Shisha.

I first saw shisha on Sex And The City 2, when they were in Abu Dhabi and since then have always wanted to try it.

So what is shisha? Shisha is an oriental tobacco with a long flexible tube connected to a container where the smoke is cooled by passing through water.

It comes in a range of flavours, and we tried out apple. Because the smoke passes through the water, it doesn't cut your throat. I'd definitely do it again, and think it'd be a cool idea for a date as it'll relax you and is also a good talking point.

Here I am, looking incredibly unsexy compared to Samantha.

Outfit of the Week

Where did that weather come from? Honestly, who would've thought, in the middle of September, we'd get a few days of summer teasing us.

Needless to say I made the most of it, and headed into town for lunch al fresco.

Loving monochrome at the moment, my entire wardrobe seems to consist of just black and white. However I'm SO excited as this is a massive trend for A/W 2013.

Jumper: International
Skirt: Topshop
Shoes: Converse
Phone Cover: Forever 21

Finding my feet

So as I'm sure (and hope) you've noticed that I've haven't done a blog post in almost a month! However having started back at college, my timetable has been all up in the air, and I've spent the last month trying to find my feet, while also trying to fight off tonsillitis.

I'm now feeling more settled and relaxed in my new house, and ready to kick start the college year. Armed with a cup of tea, my new kangaroo onesee (€35.00 Boohoo.com), and The Cube on the telly, I can safely say I feel at home.

So what else have I been up to over the past month? (Besides drinking copious amounts of hot chocolate and feeling sorry for myself.)

Back in Dublin means: back in Starbucks.

Lunch dates with my bestie.

Burgers at Bobos.

Surviving shorthand on a Tuesday morning in college, zzz.....

And getting to see Iggy Azeila in Whelans on Aurther's Day.

I suppose I have been busy, haven't I? Hope you're all settling back at college and school easily enough. At least you've definitely got plenty more blog posts to look forward to and I'm so excited about it.

Hottest Stationary for the Coming College Year

It's that time of year again, some of you have already started college, others are back next week, some even the week after! But weather it's your first time, or you're lucky enough to be going back, I'm sure you're SO excited and ready for the best year of your life.

While some of us are probably already missing the summer, it won't be for long, cause the college year has an awful lot to offer.

As for me, have two loves in life; shopping, and stationary! And this time of year give me ample opportunity for both. Here are some of the hottest stationary I've come across for the coming college year:

All available from ASOS, River Island and Urban Outfitters.

At long last!

First of all, I would like to sincerely apologise for my lack of postage lately. But I had a disaster of a week to be fair.

Last weekend, as you all know, I was supposed to be heading off to Electric Picnic with Maeve. Unfortunately, things didn't work out as planned. So instead of moping for the weekend, we decided to head somewhere else. At 1pm last Saturday (with a litre of Malibu in us), we threw some clothes into a bag (no toothburshes, no flat shoes; only the important stuff like heels, make-up etc. and of course a Giraffe Onesee,) and hopped in a taxi to Heuston Station.

It was from there, we decided Kilkenny would be a good bet. Continuing to drink on the train, we almost missed our stop. Feeling flustered we ran into the bathrooms where the train attendant? (is that what they're called?) shouted at us to hurry up, when all of a sudden I hear a "plop". My iPhone. Down the toilet.

Luckily, seeing the funny side, we headed off to the hostel where we'd booked for the night. Never again. We ended up having to share a room with a boy from Germany and another boy from The Netherlands.

I don't know about you, but this was my first and last time ever staying in a hostel!

Neither of us were able to sleep, so at about 6.30am we decided to find the nearest hot deli counter for a breakfast roll, no shoes, me in the clothes from the night before, and Maeve in a giraffe onesee. It's safe to say: "Kilkenny we won't be seeing you soon!"

Sadly my iPhone has not been returned yet so I'm unable to post any pictures of the weekend yet, but I'm very excited about my pick of the week this week, which I'm sure you'll all LOVE! Will hopefully have my baby back early this week.

I missed you btw,

Talk soon

Took the Plunge

I did it! After months of hum-ing and haw-ing, I finally dyed my hair brown. I'm now pretty much back to my original colour.

I have to say, I was a bit apprehensive to begin with, but now I love it.

Down the Toilet!!

"Down the toilet?" I hear you ask. My make-up. Yep, down the toilet.

Last weekend I decided to head to Dublin with my good friend Aoife, for a few drinks and a catch up. We headed up on the bus on Saturday morning, and after a feast of Leo Burdock's Fish and Chips, copious amounts of tea, and 2 packs of biscuits, we then decided to get our drink on.

After, one or two...or five, it was time to start getting ready and doing our make-up etc. We did our make up in the bathroom as it has the biggest mirror in the house.

Not thinking twice about it, I left my make up bag on top of the sistern on the toilet, only to arrive home to an array of bottles, brushes, and of course my mac powder, staring up at me from the bottom of the bowl. Luckily, when I found them, at around half 4 in the morning, I was able to see the funny side! Not laughing anymore though.

Aside from that, we had a pretty good night. It was also nice to spend my first night in my new house.

This week, while on Instagram, I came across this new weight-loss tea, Bootea. Apart from the cleaver name, it looks great!

What (they claim) you can expect:

"I'll perform a much needed, intensive cleanse and detox of your digestive system to assist with weight loss, bloating, fluid retention and toxin removal. I'll leave you feeling energised and motivated to achieve your goals."

There's two kinds of teas, one you take every morning, and the other to be taken every second night. They also provide a healthy eating plan to help maxamise your results.

I ordered mine today for just €20.00, from Bootea.com, including postage, and am SO excited to start.

Also, due to unforeseen circumstances, I am unable to go to Electric Picnic this weekend, however Maeve and I have decided to make the most of the weekend, so God only knows where we'll end up!

I'll keep you posted :)
